Ag Science in Beachmere

Yesterday the Beachmere Primary School had the first Agricultural Science lessons in the School Community Garden with Caboolture High School teachers for selected students in Years 4-6.
A great opportunity for Beachmere students. Students have lessons at the high school's farm in a few weeks as part of a partnership.
As a followup the garden will be begin hosting a worm farm project to recycle school waste...
The school has a community open day on October 30th which will include garden access and tour...and lots of other goodies.I'll post details as they come to hand.
Today a BIG harvest went out to the community. So at the Club or Beach Shak: bon appetit! The children are growing it -- and you get to eat it! Absolutely fresh. No sprays. Locally grown.
