Beachmere holds huge community meeting on MBRC rezone plan.

Huge gathering in Beachmere tonight -- a community meeting over the MBRC zoning changes.

James Street was parked out.The school hall was packed. There was over flow outside because we couldn't all fit in.Unfortunately the PA probably failed the folk outside...so we'll try to club together a report on what you maybe did not hear.

So most of the town was there tonight at the hall. Some 3800 folk live here and the only demographic that seemed to be missing in large numbers were the under  twelves.

The key thing is that we proceed together using the resources that have now been put in place. More details to follow.

But one slogan says it all: Flooding is a community & not an individual property issue.
